Laser and non-linear optics
Laser safety
Abstract:
Lasers are more and more performant and diverse. Continuous and pulsed laser sources are now available, with wavelengths ranging from the visible spectrum to the infrared and UV. They also deliver powers ranging to the kilowatt. As a consequence, it is necessary for any user to take enormous precautions concerning laser safety, in order to prevent any injury. The aim of this course is to educate the potential users of laser sources about their risks and the adequate behaviour while manipulating them.
